Literacy Coalition of Central Texas

Justin DeBrosse, a Program Manager at the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas, worked to evaluate the effectiveness of the English Forward curriculum, which prepares volunteers for teaching English as a Second Language. More than 30 of the Literacy Coalition's partner agencies rely on this training to prepare their volunteer instructors for the classroom.

Charlie Lockwood

Texas Folklife

Charlie Lockwood, the Operations and Development Director of Texas Folklife, investigated best practices for preserving and circulating traditional Texas music. His research sought to address what role traditional music recordings have had in helping to nurture and sustain localized cultural production and the regional music of Texas. Max Rayneard

The Telling Project

Max Rayneard, a Senior Writer and Producer for The Telling Project, examined the impact of theatrical storytelling on the veterans and audiences that participate in his organization's performances. His research involved a humanistic inquiry into the intersection of live performance and militaristic identity.
