IUPRA is seeking two Fall 2018 graduate research assistants to join a dynamic team environment. The Institute for Urban Policy Research & Analysis (IUPRA) was founded in 2011 through the collaborative efforts of the Texas Legislative Black Caucus (TLBC), the John L. Warfield Center for African and African American Studies, and the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin. As the policy arm of the Black Studies Program, IUPRA supports interdisciplinary efforts that bridge the divide between academia, community engagement, and applied policy research.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct literature reviews and synthesize large bodies of articles;
  • Contribute to writing grant proposals;
  • Attend project meetings;
  • Attend area seminars and other meetings as necessary;
  • Summarize project results;
  • Write and contribute to publications;
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
