The Design Intern will assist the Senior Graphic Designer and Web/Graphic Designer in the development and execution of collateral and graphics, via print and online mediums, for member communication projects and marketing communications.

1. Uses computer approximately 4-5 hours per day.
2. Uses telephone and email to communicate with co-workers, management, members, affiliates, etc. approximately 3-4 hours per day.
3. Moves around ACFE campus approximately 2-3 hours per day.
4. Sits approximately 4-5 hours per day.

5. Create and execute designs following company brand guidelines from concept to approval, with direction from the design team.
6. Design flyers, postcards, banners and signage.
7. Size, manipulate and retouch photos.
8. Create and update artwork such as banner ads, website graphics and other promotional images for email, web and print campaigns.
9. Create and update applications, forms, presentations, etc., including inclusion of interactive and form field elements.
10. Assist in managing print production process for marketing collateral. Prepare print-ready files and assets for production as well as check proofs for accuracy.

1. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat. A strong understanding of print/production, as well as web experience (including Dreamweaver, html, CSS, javascript, etc.), a plus.
2. Proficient in a Macintosh operating environment including programs such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
3. Possess strong composition, color, design, typography and layout skills. Must be able to think creatively when conceptualizing design pieces
and multitask effectively to meet deadlines.
4. Four years of High School resulting in a diploma or GED required; some college and/or 1-2 years of design or related experience preferred.
5. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
6. Effective usage of English grammar, syntax and punctuation; thorough understanding of style and current English usage.
7. Proven skills in organizing work, attending to detail, taking direction, managing time effectively, and handling multiple tasks in a timely manner.
8. Skills in collaborating with staff across departments.
