MISSION/ENVIRONMENT: 
Austin Film Festival is dedicated to championing the work of filmmakers & artists as well as providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation encouraging long lasting community partnerships. In such an environment, the ability to work well under pressure, excellent communication skills and intense organizational skills are a must. 

OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION: 
The Film Marketing Coordinator works with the Marketing, Film and Development Departments to create an effective marketing plan for every film accepted into Festival. The Film Marketing Coordinator also facilitates and organizes partnership strategies and leads in communicating this information to both the filmmakers and staff. In addition to this, the Film Marketing Coordinator creates and distributes marketing materials before and during the festival. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The responsibilities of the Film Marketing Coordinator include but are not limited to: 
Works with Marketing Director and Film Department to create an effective marketing plan for each film on behalf of the Festival 
Works closely with Ad Sales Coordinator to provide filmmaker information for marketing sales 
Works with participating Filmmakers to encourage and collect marketing materials (posters, postcards, etc.) and advise them on their individual marketing plans. 
Create leads and promote DISCOUNTED GROUP FILM PASSES to businesses, organizations, and other groups. 
Promotes ticket sales (FILMMAKER TICKETS and ADVANCED GROUP TICKETS) 
Facilitates partnerships and attendance within the community 
Participating on PR/Marketing Conference Call with all festival filmmakers 
Creating flyers, dailies, and other marketing materials 
Maintaining AFF social media presence 
Managing AFF Sched site during the Festival 
Managing a team of interns/volunteers to distribute dailies and flyers 
Turns in Weekly Status Reports to both the Marketing and Film Departments 
Adhering to and completing a predetermined timeline 
Providing exemplary customer service 
Providing wrap up and completion materials along with totals for ticket sales 
Commitment to the AFF Mission Statement 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Must have attended the Conference & Film Festival in previous years or have extensive knowledge of the Festival 
Must have knowledge of social media outlets 
Must have knowledge of Austin 
Excellent problem solving skills & patience 
Experience working with and communicating with a team 
Excellent interpersonal skills 
Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize daily agendas 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
Extensive customer service experience 
Ability to prioritize and delegate in high stress, high volume situations 
Excel, Access, Photoshop, and In Design experience is a plus 
Ability to analyze and create reports from Excel and Access
