Bank of America/Merrill Lynch has partnered with the Museum of American Finance to offer Liberal Arts students a mentoring opportunity to explore the financial industry. Freshman and Sophomores are strongly encouraged to apply. Students interested in the ten-week mentorship must submit a resume and writing sample. Held late May through July, the program provides an in-depth hands on introduction to financial services, and on-site visits to several major financial institutions such as the NYSE and the Federal Reserve of NY. Students who complete the program will have acquired an excellent basis for subsequent internships and/or entry level professional positions in the financial community. Many students have taken what they have learned into non-financial industries and done well. You will learn how to apply the skills of a Liberal Arts education to the professional environment. The idea is to give you a working knowledge of Investment Banking and Capital Markets, Research, Sales and Trading, Hedge Funds as well as Private Equity and Venture capital. You will learn that policy is sometimes more important than the numbers. For the students that have followed through, there is a proven track record of them obtaining prized Internships and professional positions. The program will give you a competitive edge. This program will help you develop the skills to successfully interview and convert the skills of a Liberal Arts education into valued professional skills. The program is split between Bridgewater, NJ and NYC. There is no GPA requirement. The program is several hours a week and full days for certain training. It allows time for other paid summer work. Those who drop resumes before December 11 can come in for interviews over winter break. Resumes will be collected through early spring. For more information contact Ed Murphy,
