As a Technology intern, you'll be engaged from day one – owning work, presenting ideas, and driving results. Depending on your background & interests as well as Capital One's business needs, you may be aligned to one of the roles listed below. 
-Software Engineering Intern – Develop, design and problem solve new and existing web, app, or data technologies within Capital One 
-Platform Engineering Intern – Directly support our Data Center, Cloud Automation, Network, or other Critical Infrastructure job functions with the Capital One Tech Operations team 
-Software Quality Assurance Intern – Help ensure the quality of Capital One’s software products through testing, automation tools and enhanced development practices 
In each of these roles, you will build on your experience and skills in one or more of the following languages and/or technologies: Java, Ruby, Python, Objective C, C#, JavaScript, Node.js HTML/CSS, SQL, MongoDB, Hadoop, HBase, OracleDB, Unix, Windows Server, TCP/IP, VMWare, Chef, Puppet, OpenStack 
Basic Qualifications 
- Current student or alumni of UT Austin 
- Will obtain or have obtained a Bachelors degree or higher between December 2015 and August 2016 

Preferred Qualifications: 
-Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills 
-Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills 
-Basic to advanced programming skills or experience in one or more of the following areas: Java, .net, JavaScript, Node.js, PHP, Python, Objective C, C#, Ruby, C/C++, Perl, HTML/CSS 
-Some Experience with one or more of the following database technologies: MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, Hadoop 
-Basic to Advanced experience in any of the following: Unix or Wintel Administration, TCP/IP Networking, Scripting (Shell, Puppet, Chef).
