Teach for America – Teach For America recruits outstanding recent college graduates, graduate students, and professionals – of all academic majors and career backgrounds – who commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools. Our corps members become lifelong leaders in the effort to make a great education, and the opportunities that come with it, a reality for all students. Teach For America’s network in the 2012-13 school year includes 10,400 corps members teaching in 46 regions across the country and nearly 28,000 alumni working in education and many other sectors to create the systemic changes that will help end educational inequity.

AmeriCorps NCCC - AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) is a residential national service program for men and women between the ages of 18 and 24. For 10 months, members serve on teams to meet urgent community needs in disaster relief, the environment, energy conservation infrastructure improvement, and urban and rural development. Teams work on projects throughout the country with non-profit programs, state and local agencies, and other community and faith-based groups. Members are stationed at one of five campuses, located in Denver, CO, Sacramento, CA, Perry Point, MD, Vicksburg, MS, and Vinton, IA.

Peace Corps - Make a difference in the lives of others and your own.  As a Peace Corps Volunteer, you will help a community in need, gain valuable cross-cultural skills, and become a citizen of the world. Positions available in Education, Health, Agriculture, Environment, Community Economic Development, & Youth Development.  Benefits include full health and dental coverage in service, graduate school programs, and federal employment advantage.  More than 7,000 Volunteers of all backgrounds and ages are serving in a variety of fields in 64 countries.  Peace Corps Volunteers must be U.S. citizens and at least 18 years of age, but there is no upper age limit.

City Year -City Year corps members serve full-time at one of 21 locations across the United States as tutors and mentors, running after-school programs and leading youth leadership programs. City Year is an education focused, nonprofit organization, part of AmeriCorps, that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service to keep students in school and on track to graduation.
