 Job Title: Sales Associate – Executive Sales Development Program (ESDP)

Carousel’s Executive Sales Development Program selects graduates from top colleges and universities for a 12-18 month development program (located near Hartford, CT) designed to train and mentor individuals to become successful sales professionals. Through innovative training, this program will help develop skills that will allow each person to position themselves as a trusted technology advisor and consultant. At the conclusion of this program, each individual will have the opportunity to relocate to a Carousel region of their choice as an Outside Sales Account Executive.  



Position Overview: 
The overall objective of the Sales Associate is to assist Carousel Industries in exceeding its revenue goals. In this role, individuals will be trained to learn how to prospect quality opportunities and develop customer relationships for the Outside Sales team. The Associate will work jointly with Outside Account Executives to close new business opportunities. The prospecting and customer service skills are essential to the development and success of any salesperson. 

Responsibilities: 
• Qualify leads generated by marketing campaigns, worldwide web or other sources in a timely manner. 
• Keep sales database updated and accurate at all times. 
• Develop new sales opportunities within assigned territory. 
• Prioritize follow up calls in terms of best source of leads and determine with management approval which campaigns to follow up on first. 
• Ensure highest quality of customer/prospect satisfaction at all times. 
• Fully qualify prospects to understand their company’s needs requirement, decision-making process, time frame and competitive situation. 
• Ongoing management of the accounts working jointly with outside sales. 
• Communicate all competitive situations and competitive installations uncovered to the sales team immediately. 
• Network throughout accounts to uncover potential company wide sales opportunities. 
• Participate in development and execution of territory account plans. 
• Participate in brainstorming and reporting with sales team members on funnel activity. 
• Provide management with on time and accurate weekly status reports. 
• Continually strive to improve sales qualification process. 

Required Knowledge and Experience: 
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Business degree a plus. 
• Desire to work for a dynamic sales organization. 
• Excellent time management and organization skills. 
• Candidate must be a team player with the skills to work independently in a fast-paced environment. 
• Eagerness to participate in team competitions is necessary.
