City Year, AmeriCorps Member, Application Deadline, BTT Gateway 11345

Sat, April 30, 2016

City Year was founded in 1988 on the belief that young people can change the world. City Year is an education focused, nonprofit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service to keep students in school and on track to graduation. At City Year’s 26 urban locations across the United States and two international affiliates, teams of trained young people (corps members) serve full-time in schools for the academic year as tutors, mentors, and role models. By providing attendance and behavior coaching in addition to regular tutoring, corps members support students in multiple ways. Moreover, as near-peer mentors, our corps members are uniquely able to help students and schools succeed.

Do you think you've got what it takes to #makebetterhappen for students?

Periodically, you will also lead activities, celebrations, and projects to improve the school and community.
