Do you have exceptional eye for detail and a strong understanding of accounting and finance principles? If so, you may be a great fit for our Project Controller Analyst internship program. During this exciting learning experience, you’ll work side-by-side with project teams and analysts either in the office or at the client site to coordinate multiple delivery dates keeping clients’ projects on schedule and within budget and scope. You’ll also communicate with clients to understand their needs and assist in the formation of business strategies. Work You’ll Do 
As an intern in our project controller practice, you'll team and collaborate with other controllers to help assist Deloitte project managers in maintaining compliance with clients’ policies, perform internal financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost variance analysis in addition to managing projects’ billing and receivables process. You'll also monitor project performance and determine improvement areas by developing key performance indicators. On any given assignment, you may help implement internal controls and directly communicate with the project team, finance department, and other project stakeholders to keep projects on track and within the scope of cost. 

How You’ll Grow 
From the start, you’ll have the chance to receive our technical training for project controllers designed to help you begin to build your network of project controller colleagues, better understand your role, and develop the knowledge and skills that are critical to a future career as project controller. You’ll be immersed in hands-on projects and learning opportunities that provide a view into the technical skills, critical professional behaviors, standards, and mindsets needed to succeed in this career. You’ll work with talented financial analysts and project teams and gain deep insights into the project planning process and learn how to provide reliable time and cost estimates at every phase of a project’s lifecycle. Interns will also be invited to participate in an Internship Conference hosted during the summer at Deloitte University. Qualifications 
• Pursing a Bachelor degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related area (current junior standing)
• Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2) 
• Understanding of fundamental accounting and finance principles 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment 
• Willingness to travel 

The Team 
Our project controller practice helps clients define what they need and how it can be delivered. We work with clients to define their projects’ scope in as much detail as possible using advanced financial, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. We provide realistic cost estimates that account for projects’ phases and activities, people, materials, hardware, and software and produce the best- and worst-case estimates using leading-edge project and client management software to keep clients’ projects on track and on cost.
