The Social Media Coordinator - entry level, is an entry level job position for a highly motivated, intellectually curious, and personable soon to be college graduate (May or August 2016) with a Liberal Arts major (government, history, english, sociology preferred) with business foundations (or similar) minor. 

As a social media coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating company related content on multiple social media platforms. Your tasks will include creating and updating content on all platforms, engaging with targeted social media audience, and analyzing social media data, such as Google Analytics. You will also represent our firm at live in-person marketing opportunities, such as professional association meetings. 

Our social media initiatives are very important to us. Through our social media, we disseminate information about not only what we do, but how we do it. Actively and consistently communicating through multiple social media platforms allows potential EmployStats clients to really assess how our economic and statistical research can help them resolve their issues, and ultimately their client's issues, effectively and successfully. Further, our social media initiatives allow us to contribute in a real and constructive manner to the analysis and debate of real world economic and legal problems concerning individuals, businesses, and governments. 

The successful candidate will begin part time work as an intern with EmployStats-Austin prior to graduation and become a full-time employee in our Austin office upon graduation.  

The Intern phase will begin approximately in the 2015 Fall Semester. During this time the intern will work in the Austin office for approximately 10 hours a week. During this phase the intern will be introduced to our firm’s work, work processes, and introduced to the economic research that the firm performs. The activities performed will include assisting with the creating and updating of the firm’s current social media, such as research blogs, Word Press websites, Twitter accounts, and LinkedIn company pages. 

Assuming successful completion of the intern phase and completion of your Liberal Arts degree, the job candidate will begin a full-time job position with the firm commencing in approximately June 2016.  

During the first three months of employment with EmployStats, you will be required to become proficient with creating and updating content on our WordPress sites, creating and updating content for Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn company accounts, analyzing and presenting Google Analytics data, and monitoring and analyzing search engine optimization (SEO) progress. You will be expected to complete company sponsored formal online and live courses to further your proficiency in these areas. 

The successful person in this job position will be highly motivated, personable, intellectually curious, and deeply interested in the types of economic research we perform. The social media coordinator will produce and manage social media content daily and can expect to be very busy on a day-to-day basis.  

Is a current Liberal Arts major (government, history, english, sociology preferred) with business foundations (or similar) minor graduating in May or August 2016.  

The ideal candidate needs to be a superior writer and able to produce multiple interesting and relevant social media content on a daily basis with some, but relatively minimal, direction. The person also needs to be capable of becoming proficient at reviewing and presenting social media metrics data, such as Google Analytics, and using the metrics data to direct our social media initiatives. The successful candidate needs to be a fast learner and easy to adapt to changing environments. 

The ideal candidate needs to be very comfortable and enjoy working closely with others in a close knit environment. The ideal candidate needs to be highly self directed and able to establish independent project milestones and goals, but must be able to take direction. Our small firm environment will allow you to learn and gain experience in many different areas. 

REQUIREMENTS 
B.A. in Liberal Arts (government, history, english, sociology preferred) with business foundations (or similar) minor in May or August 2016. 
Must be able to physically work in our Austin office beginning approximately in November 2015 or January 2016 in paid intern position 
Must have superior writing, reading and speaking skills 
References and writing samples required 
Demonstrated aptitude for social media
