The position is a consulting role which provides support to senior consultants on client engagements involving the design and evaluation of executive and board of director compensation programs. The consulting analyst will typically work on multiple client projects concurrently. The majority of the work is done in the Firm’s offices rather than at the client site, so travel is minimal. The position will lead to broader contributions on engagements including project management and responsibility for client deliverables. 

The Firm’s clients include companies of all sizes (i.e., pre-IPO to Fortune 100) and industries and our consultants work directly with the senior managers and boards of directors of these clients on their executive compensation issues. This position is suited for new or recent, high-achieving graduates with a major in an analytical field such as accounting, finance or economics. 

Following are some of the specific activities included in the role: 
• Analysis of executive and board of director compensation elements, levels and practices to assess market competitiveness 
• Analysis of the financial performance of clients and their peer companies to assess performance relative to compensation programs 
• Modeling of equity incentive compensation arrangements to assess appropriateness, awards levels, cost and share dilution 
• Financial modeling and analysis to determine company key performance drivers for development of incentive bonus and equity compensation programs that link pay and performance 
• Research of compensation trends, hot topics, accounting and tax rules, securities law and corporate governance issues related to the field of compensation 
• Summarizing key findings and developing conclusions to serve as the basis for client recommendations 
• Assistance in the preparation of reports including writing and development of charts and graphs 
• Development and upgrades of various models and databases used to conduct client work and automate data gathering and processes 
• Support of the business in other areas which may include identifying and managing resources needed to conduct client work, recruiting activities, etc. 

Qualifications and Skills 
• BBA, BS or BA in Finance, Accounting or Economics with minimum GPA of 3.2 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills 
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills 
• Excellent teamwork skills as well as the ability to work independently 
• Attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines 
• Proactive learner interested in developing new skill sets 
• Ability to change directions on a project quickly and easily 
• Willingness to work overtime on short notice
