Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow. 


Summer Analysts join a ten-week comprehensive program, where you are given the opportunity to learn critical business skills while gaining fundamental experience in a specific Operations department. The Summer Analyst Program also includes various Learning Series, networking and social events, and a formal review process. You will join a team-based, collegial environment where people take the time to properly train and mentor you. Our training program is an important part of our culture which will help to maximize your professional development. 


Summer Analysts joining Capital Markets Operations teams will be on the front-line of the division enabling all of the firm’s businesses. This includes taking an active role in the life-cycle of each deal, trade or transaction – including onboarding the client, assisting in pricing, settling and allocating trades, and post-settlement activities such as collateral management or maintenance of securities and cash. These teams work closely with traders and bankers to service our clients and mitigate risk. Professionals in these functions have diverse academic backgrounds (Liberal Arts, Business, STEM). 

Summer Analysts joining Financial Analytics and Reporting teams create financial models and manage the division’s metrics in order to enable informed business decisions and to improve the economics of the business. These professionals develop costing models, monitor expenses and resource metrics and provide reporting and analysis for senior management. Strong financial acumen, data interpretation and visualization skills are critical within these roles. Professionals in this function have diverse academic backgrounds, but a concentration in Finance or Accounting is preferred (Accounting, Business, STEM). 

Summer Analysts joining Operations Design will plan and execute change programs and create new financial operations capabilities to drive efficiency, improve client service levels and reduce operational risk. These teams work on business architecture, managing the design and development of operations platforms, process analysis and re-engineering, and program/project management. Professionals in this function have diverse backgrounds, but possess strong analytical/quantitative skills (STEM preferred). 


Operations recruits highly motivated interns who can demonstrate outstanding achievements in academic and extracurricular activities. Typically we look for people who can display the following personal qualities and attributes:
