GSD&M is searching for students seeking to gain hands-on experience in project-based internships to further develop their knowledge of the advertising industry.

GSD&M intern candidates MUST be enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate level student at their college or university.

The information architect/user experience intern will help create overall UX project deliverables such as: UX strategy, Information Architecture maps, user flows, interaction maps and wireframes. The intern will also act as user advocate during the design, development and post-launch process. Learning opportunities include workflow procedures and how to translate client requests into solutions, along with driving user experience principles and strategies. Intern will help design mobile, web and tablet interfaces during the semester.

This is a paid internship, up to 20 hours per week.

Hard skills ::
Comfortable using Mac and Adobe Suite (specifically Illustrator and InDesign or other wireframing and visualization tools such as Axure)
Knowledge of Keynote a plus

Soft skills ::
Observant/Thorough – Ability to read between the lines. Spot user insights and nuances. Needs to get the nitty gritty details right.
Persuasive – Needs to be able to sell a design and bring the intended user experience to life.
Creative – Should be able to create compelling and original solutions.
Open – Needs to be open to ideas, suggestions and feedback; and be willing to work with various team dynamics.
Resilient – Should be able to take a knock back and understand that good design often takes time and perseverance.

Preferred Majors ::
Advertising, Arts, Design, Psychology, Computer Science or Communication
