How Indeed Hiring Lab Works: 
The Indeed Hiring Lab is a global research institute committed to advancing the knowledge of human resource and talent management professionals worldwide. Led by Dr. Tara Sinclair, Indeed Chief Economist and associate professor of economics and international affairs at The George Washington University, the Hiring Lab research agenda includes large-scale labor research projects, ongoing tracking and analysis of employment trends, and surveys of industry professionals. 

The Indeed Hiring Lab is seeking an intern for summer 2015 who will discover interesting and important insights in our massive amount of job search and posting data. You’ll work with our team to conduct research and analysis, and communicate your findings in a compelling way. You’ll relish deep dives into economic data and discovering insights that help job seekers and employers navigate the ever-evolving labor market. This is an excellent opportunity to gain 
experience in economic analysis through work with Indeed’s unique datasets. 

Responsibilities: 
- Learn Indeed’s proprietary data analysis tools 
- Head an independent project which will contribute to the mission of the Hiring Lab 

Requirements: 
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student, preferably as an Economics major 
- Computer Science majors with experience or interest in economics will be considered as well 
- Curiosity towards labor market research and the interests of the modern job seeker 
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team 
- Experience with data analysis software such as eViews, Stata, or SAS 
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Google Docs 
- Experience with data access and manipulation tools such as SQL, R, and Python
