Lockheed Martin is seeking students for the Communications Leadership Development Program (CLDP), an intensive two-year rotational program that introduces participants to the world of Corporate Communications at the leading global security provider.
The CLDP gives participants experience in the four facets of communication: media relations, marketing, employee communications and community relations. Participants spend one year focused on employee communications and community relations – followed by a move to a different business area in another part of the country to focus on marketing and media relations.
The program is highly competitive, and we are looking for students from leading schools with outstanding technical skills, leadership abilities and practical experience. I hope you will encourage top students from your winter and spring graduating classes to apply.
Successful candidates should display:
·        Superior educational background, with a relevant degree (e.g., journalism, public relations, communication, marketing) and a minimum GPA of 3.3
·        Substantive prior internship or work experience in public relations, with strong, demonstrated writing skills
·        Great interpersonal skills, agility, integrity, desire for future leadership roles, energy, flexibility, with a willingness to relocate
·        Understanding of – and experience developing – the various components of a PR campaign
·        Relevant communications leadership experience (e.g., PRSSA)
·        Consistent demonstration of leadership behaviors (taking on leadership roles in projects and practical experience)
