Fall 2014 Social Media Intern 

Summer IT Intern -- social media and web developer -must be enrolled in school to qualify 

Mosaic Weighted Blankets is a weighted blanket retailer in Austin TX. We also has a division we are launching called Featherweight Blankets. 

We are a highly successful internet based retail business for weighted blankets, which is a sensory tool for children and adults with special needs like Autism, SPD and ADD/ADHD. This company based out Austin, TX. We do everything right here. Currently expanding and looking to grow our business through internet marketing and maximizing our social media. 

Responsibilities: 
We currently need a motivated person to help us with our SEO efforts. There will be other web implementation work which required light technical skills, implementing online banner product and developing a resources page for the website. Also implementation and maximizing affiliate program and maximizing our Twitter presence. 

This internship will be a mix of learning everything SEO, putting what you learn into practice to attract people who are looking to purchase our unique product, families and parents of special needs children to our site, performing web site maintenance and launching auxiliary web tools to make our website more visible and increase sales. 

This job is a great opportunity to learn SEO and looking for a smart self-starter to make a difference within this company and an equally outsized opportunity to learn the mobile technology business from a highly knowledgeable team. The right candidate will have plenty of room to grow within a rapidly expanding company. 

This is a summer non paid internship but it could turn into a part time paying position after the summer is over. 

Development of some other pages for press kit and resources page done in HTML and integrated with Big Commerce. 


Some of the work be done in preformulated software packages that support my company on the web -- set up and light configuration/implementation 
Facebook set up shops (my company was invited to participate in beta on this) 
Banner creation using website that helps with banner creation 
Working with big commerce to develop ad page 
Pinterest, Hootsuite 
Twitter 
Blogging 
Adwords - Google 
Other stuff as needed/uploading various online programs 
Big commerce updates/changing out items in ecomm shop, implementing a resources page. 
This would be a great opportunity to learn social media, this job would look great on a resume. 
It's initially a non paid internship, but would look great on a resume for anyone trying to get into this arena and hours are flexible. 

Requirements for position: 
Must currently be enrolled in college pursuing a degree 
Must have great work ethic and desire to succeed 
Must be trustworthy and have great follow through, and must be able to take direction 
Must be a techie and enjoy figuring stuff out 
We're willing to assist you the skills you need to succeed (no prior experience is necessary) but you must be a self-starter who demands exceptional work from yourself and others.
