REMI is seeking mature but also energetic Economic Associates to expand our world‐class economic policy analysis mission. We have been involved in policy arena in all levels of government by informing decision makers through rigorous, non‐partisan economic analysis. The primary responsibility of this position is business development and sales of our proprietary model and services. We seek confident applicants who believe that better policy come from good economic and policy modeling.

As an Economic Associate, you must be able to manage existing clients and develop new business opportunities along with negotiating and closing contracts for REMI as an individual associate or as a team. The ideal candidate will be able to make outbound telephone calls, prepare and present webinars, effectively network and work with others (internal and external), support clients efficiently and effectively, and have good communication skills during meeting, seminars and conferences. The Economic Associate is expected to reach out and inspire decision‐makers to expand the scope of their policy through the use of our economic modeling solutions. Extensive business travel, 50‐75% of your time, is likely to be required to be successful.

Economic Associates will be expected to become highly proficient in REMI modeling products, including their applications to policies such as taxation, transportation, economic development, energy/environment, and other areas that have significant economic consequences. Economic Associates may also be expected to conduct economic studies and advise clients on the use of REMI models. This position is ideal for candidates has an entrepreneur mindset that is wants to contribute to better policy making.

Qualifications
Candidates are expected to have exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, excellent verbal, written, presentation and organizational skills, entrepreneurial drive, and the ability to develop client relationships and contribute to REMI’s strategy and goals. To be considered for this position a master’s degree in economics or related field is preferred or a bachelor’s degree in economics or related field is required. Sales and teamwork experience are helpful but not required.
