East Side Interpretive Intern 
Qualifications: 
Rocky Mountain National Park seeks college students or recent graduates of exceptional ability with a background in natural or physical sciences, history, communication, education, natural science interpretation, recreation and resources management or a related field. 
In addition to public speaking skills, the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences, and working as a team with park staff and the public are essential skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to work on uneven terrain above 8,000 feet.

Responsibilities: 
Duties include preparing and facilitating up to three or four interpretive natural or cultural history programs to a variety of audiences, answering questions at park visitor centers and communicating current park issues in a professional manner to the public. 
Additional duties include separate projects related to social media and additional projects as assigned. Interns must have the ability to work as part of team with park volunteers, seasonal and permanent staff, including communicating well with supervisors. 

August 16 through October 31, 2015. 
Commitment is forty hours per week including weekends and holidays. 
Stipend is $225/week plus housing. 
An initial orientation and training period is provided, followed by on-going mentoring.
