As an Account Retention Manager at Signpost, you’ll have the opportunity to significantly contribute to the growth of our business and to the development of our customer retention strategy. You’ll be focused on ‘saving’ customer accounts, working closely with key internal & external relationships, and cultivating a best-in-class customer experience for Signpost’s rapidly growing merchant base. The ideal candidate is an experienced, creative, diligent, empathetic, and self-motivated professional that can consistently deliver results in a timely manner. 



RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Make 30+ phone calls daily to predetermined customer accounts 

Be able to take live cancel requests with an escalated status and find a solution on the fly 

Call select status accounts at least 5 times before expiration to prevent an account from expiring

Maintain an organized calendar to schedule appointments for merchants who wish to cancel 

Provide creative solutions based on merchants’ concerns 

Offer new Signpost platform to encourage merchants to stay with our company 

Maintain and effectively ‘close’ a pipeline of customer accounts 

Develop and offer mutually beneficial solutions to customers 

Update customer billing information in a confidential manner 

Collaborate actively with other team members in order to enhance our customer experience 

Wear multiple hats when necessary to help us deliver a best-in-class experience 

Support various other customer experience initiatives 



QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor’s degree preferred 

1-2 years in the field(s) of retention, customer support, account management or sales 

Excellent phone presence in addition to strong organization and negotiation skills 

Ability to sympathize, empathize, and listen while discerning mutually beneficial outcomes 

Commitment to keeping sensitive customer information confidential 

A strong understanding of SMBs and a passion for helping them succeed 

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively manage internal & external relationships 

High attention to detail while contributing to multiple initiatives simultaneously
