Our Behavior Technicians work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often intense environment to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment to children, adolescents and adults diagnosed with language, communication, behavioral and developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. The treatment is individualized to meet the needs of each client (provided 1X1 or small group), and used to decrease problem behavior as well as to promote skill acquisition. Areas of focus include the following skills: communication, social, daily living, independence, personal hygiene, and fine and gross motor. Behavior Technicians carry out programs designed by a Certified Behavior Analyst. On-the-job training is provided! 

Our Behavior Technician role is an active and physically demanding job which requires the ability to work eight hours without scheduled breaks, the ability to respond quickly from any position (such as sitting on the floor, squatting or bending) as well as stand for extended periods of time. There are additional physical requirements of which some are tested through the interview process. Other qualifications include but are not limited to: 

-Patience, reliability, a caring, energetic nature 
-Excellent interpersonal skills and teachable spirit 
-Possess strong desire to change the lives of individuals living with autism 
-Legible handwriting with proper grammar, spelling and punctuation 
-Ability to work under stress in a dynamic, fast-paced environment 
-Willingness to implement physical management procedures with client when required 
-Minimum of 6 months experience working with children OR individuals with autism / intellectual disabilities / developmental delays are highly preferred 
-Bachelor’s degree preferred 
-Available to work M-F, 8:15a – 4:15p
