Job Description
SXSW Eco program curators are responsible for creating content and securing speakers within their category. Each curator will receive a track outline, detailing how many of each type of event they are responsible for programming, as well as a timeline with deadlines.
-Build panels, workshops, mentor sessions + develop special events
-Book speakers and event hosts for programming within their track
-Recommend and secure Advisory Board members relevant to track
-Solicit and generate panel submissions within PanelPicker timeline (February – May 1)
-Manage PanelPicker sessions within the track
-Obtain photos or other marketing materials needed for promotion of events within the track
-Participate in weekly Skype calls with Head of Programming + Conference Admin
Onsite: Responsible for overseeing all programming within track and introducing sessions
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Programming Category
Demonstrated project management ability of similar scope
Ability to represent SXSW Eco in a professional and positive manner
Ability to meet deadlines, quick response to emails
Google Drive + Excel proficiency required
