Description
The Grants and Donor Communications Manager will be responsible for writing and submitting proposals for funding to charitable foundations, corporations, and individual donors, as well as writing copy for fundraising letters and communications to individual donors. The individual will be responsible for gathering information to create and support the proposals, tracking the activity of those proposals, writing all required grant reports and submitting them before their deadlines, identifying prospects, and assisting in overall strategy. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
• Assist in development of grant and proposal calendar
• Write and submit all grant proposals and reports
• Meet all submission and reporting deadlines
• Work with TPPF staff to gather all information and supporting materials
• Track all proposal activity
• Research and identify new grants, funding opportunities, and prospective foundation donors
• Write proposals for corporations and individual donors as needed
• Write copy for fundraising letters and other donor communications
• Assist in copy-editing fundraising materials
• Other writing projects as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent writing, editing, and research skills
• Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs and internet research
• Commitment to Foundation’s mission
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take direction as needed
• Experience in grant writing preferred but not required
• Fundraising experience is a plus
• Interest in professional growth
