The Big Picture 
Coordinates the maintenance of corporate, agency and processes individual licenses to comply with both State and Department of Insurance regulations and coordinates annual State filings to ensure compliance with state regulations.  

The Day to Day 
 Maintains and coordinates the renewal of corporate and agency licenses 
 Tracks and coordinates employee licensing for both new applications and renewals with The Department of Insurance 
 Completes the appointment paperwork for the licensing appointments of company agency and employees; ensures all employees are properly appointed with insurers 
 Assists with annual regulatory reports and files all required documents with the Secretary of State, meeting all deadlines 
 Assists with processing bond renewals for the Company, agencies and TPA’s 
 Tracks and maintains broker licenses and contacts, Broker Error & Omissions insurance, carrier appointments and renewal dates 
 Assist with company Notification Of Sale (NOS) processing 
 Completes audits, various reports (e.g., the Alaska Employee Report) and ad hoc reports and correspondence, as needed 
 Maintains & updates biographical affidavits on Company Directors and Officers 
 Pends commissions for brokers when information is missing or incomplete 
 Performs filing back-up for daily processes 
 Performs other duties as assigned 

The Right Person for the job has… 
 Ability to research and interpret Department of Insurance and State licensing laws and, regulations when needed 
 Knowledge of The Secretary of State filings process 
 Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and the Internet 
 Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills 
 Ability to analyze and problem-solve 
 Ability and skill in business writing – policies, procedures, forms, instructions 
 Ability to be detail-oriented and to think and work independently 

Required Education & Experience 
 College degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience 
 4 years previous administrative office experience 
 3 years previous health insurance industry or claims experience 
 Previous insurance filing and license compliance experience preferred 

 Notary License may need to be obtained
