We are seeking 10 exceptional AmeriCorps VISTA members to join a team of 45 dynamic change agents working to fight poverty in King County starting in July! Our AmeriCorps VISTAs commit to serve full-time for one year at non-profit organizations and government agencies across the county. 
United Way engages caring people, volunteers, and resources in building a community where people have homes, students graduate and families are financially stable. We deploy AmeriCorps VISTAs at partner agencies doing excellent work in these arenas. Our members enable these agencies to improve services to clients by providing capacity-building support to their organization’s programs. 
United Way VISTAs meet as a team at least monthly to participate in high-quality training and professional development, networking opportunities, service projects, and reflection. Our members become part of an extensive nonprofit network with access to excellent resources and learning opportunities. While gaining valuable professional skills and experience, our team works together to change communities and improve lives. 
We have 10 AmeriCorps VISTA positions starting in July in the following priority areas and organizations: 
•Ending Homelessness at the City of Seattle 
•Increasing Food Security at Tukwila Pantry Food Bank 
•Engaging Youth in Successful Academic and Career Pathways at Mentoring Works Washington 
•Helping Vulnerable People Meet Their Needs at Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association, City of Seattle, South Seattle College, and Westside Baby 
•Expanding Economic Opportunity at Educurious, Seattle Jobs Initiative, and Ventures 

Benefits: 
•Living allowance of $1,069 (pretax)
