Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking ambitious, high caliber undergraduate and graduate students for intern assignments within the National Security Internship Program (NSIP).

The Computational and Statistical Analytics (CSA) Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory focuses on creating computing tools and methods to accelerate scientific discovery, threat detection, decision support, and predictive modeling. Specific areas of focus include mathematics and statistics for information signature constructing, data management, visualization and human-computer interaction, distributed data processing pipelines and environments, and secure computing infrastructure.

PNNL is seeking students who have completed their sophomore year in college, in active status, and in good standing in an undergraduate program within an accredited college or university. A minimum Grade Point Average of 3.3 (out of 4.0) or better or proven ability to contribute to PNNL projects is desired. The prospective candidate’s course of study should be focused in disciplines described above. Initial intern assignments lengths will range from a 10- to 14-week summer internship, with the options to continue working part-time during the academic year or extend the internship as appropriate for the student.
