Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Alumni Relations, oversee special communications initiatives, including but not limited to: 
• Interviewing and writing articles on identified alumni, donors, and faculty. The position will often be in collaboration with CoLA Public Affairs 
• Drafting and editing of stewardship letters and other documents 
• Support for COLA events, as needed, including evening events such as Project Thank You 

• Current student at The University of Texas at Austin 
• Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written 
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently 
• Capable of handling multiple tasks, prioritizing and staying organized to ensure timely and accurate work 
• One writing sample, between 500-1000 words. Here is some advice on choosing a writing sample: 

• Experience with journalism, interviewing, and drafting content 
• Prior office experience 

This internship will pay $10 an hour for 5 hours a week beginning in March of 2014. Continuation of the job may be offered depending on performance. Hours can flexible to accommodate class schedules, but must be between 9am and 4pm.
