 The intern will work with the WDP Grant Writer and development team to coordinate fundraising efforts including grant research and planning, applying for funding, data entry, mailings, phone calls, and other activities as needed. The Grant Writing Intern will also gain experience writing grant applications, reports, and letters of inquiry and will complete the internship with a full understanding of the grants cycle. Finally, the Grant Writing Intern will receive supervision and intensive writing training from the Grant Writer. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
-Assist with grant writing process including cultivating, applying, and reporting to donors 
-Assist in grant research and planning 
-Coordinate with Grant Writer to ensure grant application and reporting deadlines are met 
-Manage grant filing/tracking system 
-Assist with development and maintenance of a grants calendar and other reporting tools 
-General administrative support: data entry, mailings, database management, etc. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
-Strong attention to detail 
-Basic computer skills including proficiency with Word, Internet, and e-mail 
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively 
-Commitment to social justice 
-Able to work 10-15 hours per week during the normal workweek
