Position: Sales Development Intern
Student: Human Dimensions of Organizations Junior
Working as a sales development intern for CrowdStrike has been a beneficial learning
experience. Some of the roles/duties described on the job posting for the internship are to
“collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product marketing and other organizations to
understand all the moving parts of a successful startup company”, “learn the basics of corporate selling strategies while auditing meetings with VP and C-level executives at Fortune 1000 companies”, and “learn go-to-market strategy by collaborating with CrowdStrike partners to generate business opportunities.”
A typical day to day for me in the office involves working on projects with other interns,
and different departments. The management lets you have the ability to take on projects that
need to be completed and finish it at your own pace. Sometimes there are multiple projects that have to be worked on at the same time, so managing time and working at a fast pace are important. They want you to have the enhance responsibility and time management skills that one needs when working in the professional atmosphere.
This internship was about getting real world experience in the workplace. From cross
collaboration and communication to time management, the lessons learned throughout the
semester will carry on to my experience post graduation.
