Liberal Arts Career Services continues its series of targeted workshops designed to train liberal arts majors with specific tools for success in the workplace. These practical skills give job seekers an advantage over the competition in a number of career fields. Our guest instructors bring experience using these tools in their industries, and they’ll give you an introduction on using these for yourself. Check out past workshop topics below!


Who is eligible to attend these workshops?

These workshops are open to current undergraduate liberal arts students with an active BTT Gateway account.

Who leads the workshops?

These workshops are led by guest presenters who are experts in their fields. Many of them are recruiters from organizations who hire liberal arts students, and many of them have liberal arts backgrounds.

Introduction to Grant Writing

Are you considering a career in nonprofits working with grants? If so, join us for this professional development opportunity. 

We will introduce you to grant writing, from an overview of the way nonprofit organizations utilize grant funds to carry out their missions to the variety of grants offered by foundations.  

The workshop will also cover grant writing fundamentals, including: 
1) strategies for identifying potential foundation funders 
2) tips for writing clear and compelling proposals 
3) tips on the best way to build effective relationships with funding partners.
