For 20 years the LA Development Studio has worked with UT faculty and staff to create outstanding digital materials. Our services have been used by departments across campus and have been featured on external media outlets such as CNN, BBC, Voice of America, and in New York Times.
Every semester, thousands of students enroll in live, online, interactive courses that push the boundaries of what effective teaching and learning look like at UT. At the heart of this model is the Development Studio inside Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services - a team composed of highly-trained staff and inspired Student Technology Assistants (STAs) who are eager to improve their craft as video, audio, and graphic-design creators.
Canadian news service BNN wanted UT Professor and Director of the Energy Institute, Dr. Michael Webber, to speak on their live broadcast. With less than two hours of notice, the Dev Studio was able to get everything together so Dr. Webber could appear remotely from Austin.
In Fall of 2017, hundreds of students from the University of Texas log on to their live online Jazz Appreciation course at
TEDx partnered with the LAITS Development Studio to record their ambitious day-long conference filled with 14 speakers, two multimedia presentations
