Example Projects and Information

Live-Streaming Courses

Every semester, thousands of students enroll in live, online, interactive courses that push the boundaries of what effective teaching and learning look like at UT. At the heart of this model is the Development Studio inside Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services - a team composed of highly-trained staff and inspired Student Technology Assistants (STAs) who are eager to improve their craft as video, audio, and graphic-design creators.

Students of Jazz Appreciation participate in UT's first live interactive jazz performance online

In Fall of 2017, hundreds of students from the University of Texas log on to their live online Jazz Appreciation course at class time, just like every other day of the semester. But on this day, using interactive tools used in the course, they virtually meet members of a seven-piece jazz band, ask questions, and watch performances led by their professor, Dr. Jeff Hellmer.
