The University of Texas at Austin is offering an expanded choice of courses for Summer 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all of which will be offered online in order to protect the health of students and the UT community. As recently announced by President Fenves and Interim President designate Jay Hartzell, the university will reduce resident undergraduate tuition for 2020 summer courses to 50 percent of the tuition rate for fall and spring semester courses. Students can find the reduced tuition rates for their college at the Texas One Stop student FAQ.
Use the search tool below to find currently scheduled summer course offerings in the College of Liberal Arts. More information about these tuition-reduced courses will be added as details become available. Scroll down to browse a list of on-demand summer classes that meet many core and flag requirements.
Many LAITS-supported summer classes are on-demand classes designed to help students as they manage the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. On-demand classes are completed on your own time and include a mixture of pre-recorded lecture segments, activities, readings, discussions and expert interviews. They are accessed through Canvas and subject to deadlines established by professors. Browse the list of courses below to find information about on-demand courses offered by colleges across campus and supported by LAITS that meet a variety of core and flag requirements. More information about classes being offered becomes available every day, and this page will be updated frequently, so students should check back as they assemble their summer class schedules.
