LGBTQ Studies Offering its Flagship Course Summer '19!

LGBTQ Studies will offer WGS 303: Intro to LGBTQ Studies as a summer course. LGBTQ Studies Program Coordinator Dr. Grayson Hunt will teach WGS 303, which runs from June 6-July 12, 2019. Summer courses are a fun and effective way to earn credits towards your degree. 

This course will introduce students to concepts of gender and sexuality, race, class, and nation; as well as skills in theory, history, and research methods relevant to LGBTQ studies. The course will also survey the making of modern understandings of sexual and LGBTQ identities in the last one hundred years and the implications of this history for broader understandings of gender and sexuality. Taught by Dr. Grayson Hunt who specializes in Queer Theory, Trans Studies and Feminist Theory. This is a required course for students working towards the transcript recognized LGBTQ Studies minor or certificate.
