Doctoral student Cristian Juárez has been awarded two grants in support of his dissertation research. NSF's program in Documenting Endangered Languages (DEL) awarded him $18,900 in support of his project on "The Interaction of Transitivity Alternations and Verbal Affix Stacking in a Morphologically Complex Language." That same language is the subject of his grant, "Documentation and Description of Northern Chaco Mocoví (Guaycuruan, Argentina)", from the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (ELDP) at the U. of London. The ELDP award is for 26,000 GBP. Professor Pattie Epps is the faculty PI on these awards.
