Spring 2018 Linguistics Graduates Accepted to Grad Schools

Another school year has come to a close, but some of our graduates can’t get enough of school.  Instead, we are pleased to announce that they are entering graduate programs in the Fall.

  • Katarina Antolovic will be entering the PhD program in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at City University of New York.
  • David Diaz has applied to UT San Antonio for a Master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language in the Department of Bicultural-Bilingual Studies.
  • Pamela Hildebrand will attend UT Dallas to pursue a Master’s in Communication Disorders to prepare for a career in speech pathology.
  • Victoria Jesswein will be attending a two-week intensive Medieval studies program at Cambridge immediately after graduation, after which she will be attending the University of Liverpool for a Master’s degree in Archiving. 
  • Elise LeBovidge will be starting a PhD in Speech and Hearing at the University of Washington.
  • Kevin Lilly plans to enter the doctoral program in Linguistics at Ohio State. He’s been working in the Phonetics Lab here.
  • Marcus Martinez will be heading to the University of Washington to start a Master’s in Computational Linguistics
  • Phoebe Mintz will attend Columbia College in her hometown of Chicago to study ASL-English interpretation.
  • Titan Page has been accepted to the PhD program in Linguistics at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and plans to focus on computational linguistics.
  • Jailyn Pena will be starting her PhD in Linguistics at NYU. Phonetics is her main interest.

Congratulations to all of our Linguistics graduates. We look forward to seeing you succeed!  We are very proud of all your successes here at UT.  We’ll miss you!
