We are happy to announce that Dr. Ian Hancock has been awarded the title of Professor Emeritus of Linguistics by the Board of Regents of the University of Texas System.  Prof. Hancock retired from active teaching at the end of the Spring Semester.

Dr. Hancock has been on the faculty of UT Austin since 1972 and was named a Nowlin Regents Professor in Liberal Arts in 2005. He directed The Romani Archives and Documentation Center (RADOC) and remains a world renowned human rights advocate and Romani expert.
