Graduate Students May Plumb and Elizabeth Wood Receive Graduate Research Fellowships from NSF
May Plumb and Lizzy Wood

The Department of Linguistics is very proud that two of our second-year doctoral students, May Plumb and Elizabeth Wood, have won Graduate Research Fellowships from the National Science Foundation. Both Lizzy and May are working on the documentation and description of languages of Mesoamerica. Incidentally, this week May also published a paper on Colonial Valley Zapotec in the International Journal of American Linguistics. IJAL is the premier journal for publication on languages of the Americas; May's paper can be found here: https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/701802
