Mexico Center Call for Proposals

The Mexico Center provides funds for faculty to organize academic public events on campus, including but not limited to conferences, workshops, lectures, and collaborations with visiting scholars. In an effort to leverage the Mexico Center's reach and strengthen its ties within the university, we strongly encourage applicants to seek complementary funding from the faculty member's home department, other offices on campus, or outside sources of support. The call, which goes out in the fall semester, is open to LLILAS faculty. Priority is given to Mexicanist faculty and to proposals for events that enhance the academic training of UT graduate and undergraduate students.

Austin Lecture on Contemporary Mexico Nominations

In a separate competition, faculty can nominate a keynote speaker for the Austin Lecture on Contemporary Mexico.

Matías Romero Visiting Researcher Nominations

Affiliated faculty can nominate Mexican research partners to visit our campus through the Matías Romero Program.

For more information on these competitions, contact Paloma Diaz.
