Workshop: "Portuguese for Spanish Speakers"

K–16 educators are invited to a attend Portuguese for Spanish Speakers.

Join us for a hands-on workshop that will give K-16 educators the tools to start speaking and understanding the Portuguese language in the context of Brazilian culture. Workshop participants will also be introduced to Portuguese resources at The University of Texas that can be utilized in their classrooms. Participants will practice speaking Portuguese over coffee and Brazilian snacks.

The workshop will be led by Vivian Flanzer, coordinator of UT’s Portuguese Language Program since 2001 and creator of the website ClicaBrasil.
The Hackett Room, SRH 1.313, is located in Sid Richardson Hall Unit 1, 2300 Red River Street, on the UT Austin campus (see map).
The workshop is free and open to in-service and pre-service teachers and faculty from community colleges and minority-serving institutions. Teachers can earn up to three hours of professional development credits.
