Workshop: "Between Disillusion and Dreams: The Future of Ethnic and Racial Equity in Latin America"

This workshop, which will launch the Laboratory for Ethnic and Race Equity (LAESER) to the UT academic community, will debate ethnic-racial inequality, Afro-Latino resistance, as well as African-descendant and Indigenous questions in the census questionnaires of Latin American countries. Internationally recognized scholars on ethnic and racial inequality, collective identities, and census categories will be invited to participate.

LAESER is a project of Associate Professor Marcelo Paixão (LLILAS / African and African Diaspora Studies).
