He sits on the boards of the Museo Dolores Olmedo in Mexico City and the Museo del Prado in Madrid, and is an editorial writer for El Universal, one of Mexico’s leading newspapers. In 2008 he was awarded the medal of the Commander of the Legion of Honor, the highest honor bestowed on a foreign citizen by the government of France.
