The Latino Research Initiative in the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin is pleased to announce the Latino Research Initiative Fellowship Program.
We welcome applications from faculty, scholars, public intellectuals, and professional researchers in all disciplines at more advanced stages of their careers with projects that  align with the intellectual orientation of the Latino Research Initiative.

We encourage Fellows to include intersectionality, integrate diverse disciplines, and ask how their research will advance the Latino community. The Initiative intends to support three Research Fellows each year, including one Distinguished Research Fellow.

All Fellows are expected to reside in the Austin area during the period of their appointment (except for vacation periods, holidays, and university breaks). While in residence, Fellows are required to deliver a public lecture and to otherwise actively participate in the intellectual life of the Center for Mexican American Studies, Department of Mexican American and Latina/o Studies, and Latino Research Initiative. Fellows may also be invited to participate in other programming at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition, Fellows are required to acknowledge the support of the Latino Research Initiative and other University resources in any projects or publications that emerge from their time at the University.
