Student Spotlight: Lucy Flamm
During the 2017-2018 academic year, Lucy Flamm was the recipient of prestigious awards including the Middle East Librarian's Association George N. Atiyeh prize, the American Theological Library Association's Equity and Diversity scholarship, and the Houston Endowment Graduate Fellowship from UT Austin's School of Information.
Flamm also received a Critical Language Scholarship for the study of Arabic from the U.S. Department of State. Most recently, she has been selected as the sole UT recipient of the DACOR Bacon House Foundation Graduate Fellowship for the 2018-2019 academic year. Her original research has been presented at the University of Chicago's Middle East History and Theory Conference, and this coming November she will present at the Middle East Studies Association conference.
