Tayseer Habib, MES & IRG double-major, completed internship with the United Nations Development Programme in Lebanon

Tayseer Habib, a double-major in Middle Eastern Studies and International Relations & Global Studies, spent the summer in Beirut as an intern for the United Nations Development Programme in Lebanon (UNDP Lebanon). He worked under the Enhancing Community Security and Access to Justice in Lebanon Host Communities Project (CSAJ). The project aims to reform security and justice institutions to have a more human-centered approach towards serving communities hosting refugees. Tayseer’s main tasks were to carry out research and analysis on specific issues relevant to the project’s goals, and to review, edit, and summarize project documents. Tayseer says: “My experience at UNDP Lebanon gave me a thorough understanding of how development institutions work with local governments and communities to improve the safety and rights of refugees and disadvantaged natives.” Well done, Tayseer!
