Biopsychosocial criminology, social science genomics, health criminology.

I am a criminologist and a native Texan. Between 2011-2016, I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio for my bachelors and masters degrees in criminal justice/criminology. From 2016-2020, I attended the University of Cincinnati and received my doctoral degree in criminal justice. Finally, in 2020 I began as a postdoctoral fellow with the Population Research Center here at the University of Texas at Austin. My fellowship is with Dr. Paige Harden and focuses on social science genomics, with projects on externalizing behavior and pubertal development.

My research focuses on how biological, psychological, and social factors come together to impact behavior and health. I am primarily interested in externalizing behaviors/risk-taking and how these behaviors impact the health/aging of the individuals who demonstrate them.
