PRC Graduate Student Trainee
Koit Hung

I received an MPhil (2014) and BSSc (2012) in Sociology, both from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before coming to UT Austin, I worked as a research assistant on a health inequality study, which draws on a large-scale biosocial survey of over half a million objects in Taiwan.

I am interested in studying education, labor market, and social stratification. Current projects include:
(1) Inter-generational transmission of skills and occupational status in the United States and developed countries
(2) Gender inequality in labor market outcomes under skill-biased technological change
(3) How technology reshapes the landscape of inequality and stratification
