ASA Section on Sociology of Population to Host Activities at the ASA Annual Meeting in Atlanta

The ASA Section on Sociology of Population will host the following activities at the ASA annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia:

Monday, August 16th, 7:00 PM: Population Section Reception and Awards Presentation.

This event, with its three awards to be handed out, will be held at Max Lager’s American Grill and Brewery. There will be food and some drink tickets available.

Tuesday, August 17th, 2:30-3:30 PM: Population Section Roundtables.

This year, co-organizers Rob Warren and the Section's first-ever Student Representative Elaine Hernandez  have organized a set of 9 roundtables that include 33 presentations.  The Population Section Roundtables will be held in the Hilton Hotel…check the program for specific room numbers.

Tuesday, August 17th, 3:30-4:30 PM: Population Section Business Meeting

Current Section Chair Robert Hummer will use the time to offer thanks to everyone who has helped organize sessions, elections, events, etc. for the Section over the last year as well as report on Section finances and any business.  Then, he'll turn over the Section leadership to 2011 Section Chair Mike White.
