The 2012 Doug Forbes Fund Awardees

Thanks to the generous contributions to the Doug Forbes Fund, we were able to award four Graduate Training and Research stipends this summer.  The awards are intended to provide support for activities that directly contribute to a student’s development of their research agenda.   The 2012 recipients and their research titles are:

Erika Grajeda, "Female Day Laborers: The Case of Brooklyn, New York "

Paul Kasun, “Changing Social Structures in the Guatemalan Highlands: Effects of Migration on Population, Class, and Religion in two Sending Communities”

Joseph Lariscy, “The Significance of Record Linkage for Black-White Mortality Differentials”

Neveen Shafeek Amin, “Health Disparities and Religious Affiliations: The Case of Arab/Middle Eastern Immigrants in The United States”
