Research by Véronique Dupéré Named Top 10 Discovery of 2017
Dupere wins top 10 award.

Quebec Science has named research from Véronique Dupéré on dropping out of high school a top ten discovery of 2017. See the full profile, including a video interview, here.

The study, published in Child Development, examines the precipitating role of recent psychosocial stressors by comparing three groups of Canadian high school students: recent dropouts, matched at-risk students who remain in school, and average students. Results indicate that in comparison with the two other groups, dropouts were over three times more likely to have experienced a recent, acutely stressful event.
