PRC Research Restart

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Secure Data Enclave is available by reservation only and must remain single occupancy at all times. To reserve the enclave, you must submit the request form below and indicate your preferred access time slots according to your assigned research cohort. You may not reserve time slots outside of your designated cohort time blocks. If you do not know which cohort you are in, please consult your faculty research advisor.

Beginning August 17th, RLP will have two daily shifts, an Early/Long shift from 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and a Late/Short shift from 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Each cohort will rotate shifts on a weekly basis. On August 17th (Week 1), Cohort A will begin the revised weekly shift rotation with the Early/Long Shift. Cohort B will be assigned the Late/Short shift. On August 24th (Week 2), Cohort B be assigned the Early/Long Shift and Cohort A will be assigned the Late/Short shift and so on.

The following access time slots will be available each day during the Early/Long shift:

  • Station 1 - 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
  • Station 2 – 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Station 3 - 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The following access time slots will be available each day during the Late/Short shift:

  • Station 4 – 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Station 1 – 7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Users can reserve up to THREE time slots per week. In addition, users may reserve unclaimed time slots for the following day by emailing Short-notice reservations do not count against the 3 advance-reserve time slots, but you may only reserve a time within your cohort time slot.

You will receive a confirmation email from a PRC staff member when your request is approved.

Users are required to bring their own Windows-compatible keyboard and mouse to plug into the terminal.  Shared keyboard and mouse are not allowed.  Users will need to bring their own pen to sign the Secure Data Enclave log.

Before entering:

  • Users must take their temperature before coming to campus. If your temperature is 99.6 °f or higher, you may not come to campus.
  • Users must wear a face covering while in any UT building. Face coverings are not required while inside the Secure Data Enclave.
  • Wash your hands prior to entering the lab.
  • If the lab is occupied during your scheduled time, please contact Do not enter the lab!

While inside the lab:

  • Users must sign in and sign out of the lab using the Secure Data Enclave log. Users must provide their own pen.
  • Wipe down your workspace (table, chair, monitor, printer, and door handles) before and after every session (cleaning supplies provided).
  • Users must provide their own keyboard and mouse. Gloves must be worn while plugging & unplugging keyboards and mice (gloves provided).
